Odia Swapna

The very existence of Odisha as a state come from a language that binds me , you and all Odiyas. We think, speak, shout and dream Odiya. We all know this, so why am I reiterating all this again?


Few members of fullorissa.com family.took a  very small step but it could prove to be one of the best thing for many Odiyas in the future. Yes its about the Odiya movie getting released in Bangalore . Some one might say, ye its all copied Odiya movies , so what it means me, honestly no one knows. 
But this is nothing less than a new era which is about begin, a new horizon which is waiting to get explored and a new dreams which is yet to be realized.
We all know when Steve Jobs quoted “Stay hungry and Stay foolish” in his speech, he passed on one of the greatest messages of modern Era. But what this has to do with this. Yes a lot. Its a step that will create big Market for Odiya movies and days will be not so far when Scripts like Sesha Sraban will be seen, Singers like Khoka Bhai will be discovered. The step which is looking foolish to many might change the whole face of Odiya Cinema.

The Journey of Odiya Cinema from Sitaram Vilas Talkies (SSBT), Berhampur, to Cinemax Bangalore is itself a great story, An Incredible journey. Its from a viewers point of view not from a movie maker, or a Distributor or a man from Ollywood, Its a view of common man, who dreams to see his own state prosper. 

So, the question is, if we don’t belong to film fraternity  then, how come its our dream. Indeed it is. Films are reflection of society, it is medium to convey the thought process of a larger section of the people. Film brings out the creativity inside every human being. In fact it is a living Dream. Whats the best thing, if we make good movies in the language that we live, the voice can be heard better, louder and clear.

The opening of new market from Odiya movie industry will bring in more capital and more investors, which will bring the best quality art work inside our very own artists. We as a state always known for our culture and creativity, will get a bigger stage, a bigger platform to show case the talent sleeping inside.

So the Journey has just began, These bunch of incredible people have take the responsibility to take Odia movies to across border of our state and overseas as well. This incredible effort needs support in a bigger scale.Success is what we all want but taking the first step against wind is the most difficult part of the Journey and Fullorissa.com has taken the 1st step, so let the Odiya spirit ride high and we get there where we belong.
